Through this initiative called Johns Hopkins Takes Time for Schools, Hopkins is showing tremendous civic leadership—and a true embrace of the critical role the community plays in our schools. By encourage thousands of its employees to volunteer in City Schools by offering them up to two days of paid leave from their jobs over the next year to read stories to students, tutoring them in math, even digging and planting schoolyard gardens with them, Hopkins employees will, through this commitment, make an incredible difference in the success of our kids and the strength of our schools.
Through online articles and videos as well as Channel 77 coverage, City Schools will feature dispatches from Johns Hopkins Takes Time for Schools over the next year.
