Who We Are

The Markim Multimedia Group with its principal Eric Dodson, has developed exceptional production, programming, and creative content for over 20 years. Through means of training and educational tools for teachers, youth leaders, parents and caregivers, the Markim Multimedia Group prepares children and educators for living and learning in a comprehensive media-rich culture.  Markim coaches educators and youth on how to better access, analyze, evaluate, and create media messages; and teaches youth to think critically while translating media into practical information.

The Markim Multimedia Group supports youth initiatives that bring insight to effective practices with innovative approaches that allow youth to find their own voice and to make informed decisions.  The Youth Media Program and Educational Initiative are Markim’s signature programs dedicated to teaching documentary video as a tool for social change and as a means to develop student’s artistic, critical thinking, media literacy and career skills.

“We act as an advocate for issues impacting young people to ensure their voice is heard.  We believe that people are duty-bound not only to themselves and their own personal beliefs and convictions, but also to society, to become impassioned in their convictions enough, to advocate for the unheard voices.”  –Eric Dodson, Executive Director
